After only 4 months my Storm Arena Ryu developed a green discoloration on both knees. Other collectors reported the same issue. I’ve seen other collectors reporting the same problem online, so it doesn’t seem to be an isolated case. Very disappointing for such a high-end figure. I hope Storm can provide a solution or replacement parts, because this should not happen on a premium collectible.
This figure is absolutely the best street fighter ryu ever made also the price is perfect and affordable, wish I only had the chance to get my hands on ken .. but other than that you guys are killing it with these figures ! Hope to see more storm arena lines soon!
There are a lot of Ryu's out there at the moment but being an Alpha 2 and MvC fan, this was the only one for me. Excellent sculpt, great and smooth articulation, and you can even balance his hadoken effect in his hands without the stand (with a wee bit of finagling). If I had any criticism it would only be that whereas Ken came with fists, hadoken hands and both a V sign hand and beckoning finger hand, poor old Ryu only has his fists and hadoken hands. But for the quality and the price, you can't really complain, I'm really looking forward to the rest of the Alpha 3 crew.
Finally, I'll also mention the excellent service from the Storm UK store - they got him in hand and shipped out brilliantly fast. I've been enjoying this for a month now while folks who ordered from other places are still ages away from receiving theirs.
